Gophers Football Head Coach PJ Fleck talks about settling in at the U and his expectations for the coming season. Associate AD Scott Ellison describes the Athletes Village currently under construction and how it will help student-athletes excel on and off the playing field.
The toughest loss in quite some time came for the Gophers this past weekend, but it wasn’t decided on the court, ice, or field. This loss came from the hearts of Gopher fans, as legendary broadcaster Ray Christensen, whose voice lines some of the greatest memories supporters of the U have, passed away Sunday at the age of 92. We look back to an interview former host of the show Ron Miller conducted with Ray in 2008 on these same airwaves, as we remember a man whose voice will live forever in the ears of Maroon and Gold loyalists, and even longer around the halls of Dinkytown.

A horrific situation involving the Gopher football program stemming from an alleged Sept. 2 sexual assault came to a head this past week with the team boycotting 10 player suspensions, the university’s Office of Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action (EOAA) releasing an 80-page report detailing the gory night of Sept. 2, and the boycott subsequently ending after it appeared as if the Gophers may not participate in the Holiday Bowl. Some strong opinions are shared this week on GSU, not many of which find football very important in the grand scheme of these recent events.
A two-sided coin on GSU this week welcomes you back from the holiday break. After a brief hello in segment one, Matt and Mike talk volleyball with head coach Hugh McCutcheon, who has his team as the number two overall seed entering the NCAA tournament this Friday at The Pav. In segment three, the guys take to Twitter for the heated debate that is Tracy Claeys’ future, a scrap that one co-host found impossible to avoid.
